I remember when we were kids and there were the occasional (or was it constant?) power blackouts. It was fun, nonetheless, as we could gather round and listen to made up stories, scary ones and find who gets to pee in his sorry pants. Or make shadow puppets with our hands against the “gasera“(kerosene lamp), sooty nostrils being least among our juvenile concerns. It was tricky to make rabbits, but my swan was more recognizable compared to my brother’s elephant…
