Weird Japanese Gang Bang

When we think of Japanese culture, we know there’s more to sushi, kabuki and samurai. There’s also manga, sailor girl uniforms and Aibo. And then there are cultural elements which keep one scratching his head in wonder. Practices which are generally taboo in most Asian cultures, and even the west,  but treated with indifference, if not taken in objectively by the Japanese. Religion is not necessarily a moralizer, and sex and sexuality seems to be viewed from a different perspective.

Take the following photos as an example. I came across them in del.icio.us. Are they a fertility cult? Or is this a far out dating gimmick like Lovapalooza? Or is it just extreme porn? Leave this post if you are underage, or if you are not comfortable with nudity/sex.

These pics are from Tokyomango.

really bizzare, this culture. there’s this trend among high school girls to go on dates with older guys, too. for pay. and it’s not considered prostitution. more like a coming of age rite, and a social thing. most of them aren’t badly off at all, but go into it to buy expensive treats.. designer bags, cute gadgets, etc. i forgot the term they use to call it, but i’ll try to browse.

hehe. i wonder how it feels like to live in Japan when one comes from a more “conservative” culture? is one left to figure out for himself, or are the Japanese kind enough to explain?
or is conservative the right term to use? after all, Japan has kept its identity distinct, and much of its traditions alive, drawing much interest from us on the outside. and leaving us scratching our heads.

from fashion to sexual festishes to weird useless inventions - japanese are just awesome! hahahahaha

so true. but it’s this inquisitiveness, their willingness to explore, which have made them progress so much and take a lead in science and technology. weird culture, really. on one hand, i see them as very traditional… preserving much of their unique, traditional arts in all aspects of their life. on the other, embracing and even evolving very modern, western trends as if these were their own.

or maybe they are just living their life as if it were art.
